You can view all your messages at one time and handle the missed important messages first. CallWare's voice processing and fax products integrate with existing e-mail applications like Novell GroupWise, Lotus Notes, and MS Exchange/Outlook. CallWare offers a more convenient and efficient way to communicate.

CallWare ViewPoint 5.3. [top]

Enhancing Office Communications with Visual Messaging

Powerful, Yet Easy-to-use

CallWare ViewPoint links the convenience of the telephone with the flexibility of the computer. Your voice messages appear on your computer screen with the name of the caller, time and date the message was left, and the length of the message. With the visual interface, you are in control and can choose which messages to listen to first. Just “point and click” on the message you wish to hear. No more complicated telephone keypad sequences to access your messages.

Send and Receive Voice Mail Messages over the Internet

Using leading e-mail packages such as Microsoft Exchange/Outlook, Lotus Notes, or Novell GroupWise, you can attach a voice message to an e-mail message and send it over the Internet. Simply save your voice message, attach to your e-mail, and send it. Because you are using the Internet, there are no long-distance charges, no matter where you are sending the message (even overseas)!

Enhance Visual Messaging Capabilities with Multimedia

In addition to your telephone set, with multi-media options, you can record and play messages through your computer. Keep your hands free for other tasks and your telephone line open for incoming calls while you are listening to, or recording messages.

Route and View Faxes at the Desktop

With CallWare FAX, you can receive, view and send fax messages. Faxes can be routed directly to your mailbox and will appear in your CallWare ViewPoint display along with your voice messages. Once there, faxes can be easily viewed, printed and forwarded to others. Faxes can even be sent via the Internet with CallWare's server clustering

  • Save money through the Internet -- You can access your fax messages from anywhere in the world through the Internet. Use the Internet to send faxes to any office where you maintain a CallWare site—with no long distance charges involved. With this server clustering, you can transmit broadcast faxes to anyone in a branch office, without incurring long distance charges.
  • Boost your productivity -- Unified messaging saves you time and allows you to intelligently decide which messages to handle first. CallWare fax messages can be viewed and accessed in CallWare ViewPoint or in the Novell GroupWise Universal Mail Box. CallWare FAX integrates seamlessly with CallWare’s other telephony products.

  • Leverage your existing software -- Through Novell Directory Services (NDS), CallWare FAX provides a single point for administering CallWare’s unified messaging. CallWare FAX can send faxes created in any application that uses Windows-based printer drivers including MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Exchange, Corel WordPerfect, Corel Quattro Pro, Corel Presentations, Lotus AmiPro, Lotus Notes and Novell GroupWise.
  • Don’t buy expensive fax boards -- There is no need to purchase costly fax boards required by other fax solutions to provide intelligent call routing. CallWare’s powerful integrated voice and fax technology requires only standard, inexpensive class 2/2.0 fax modems to route calls and faxes.
  • Obtain high-level security and fault tolerance -- Because CallWare FAX operates on a NetWare platform, it utilizes NetWare’s security and encryption capabilities and SFT3 fault tolerance—the highest level of fault tolerance available today.

TAPIware and TAPIserve [top]

Cut Spending, Not Service

TAPI applications are taking off. But you're not convinced they'll integrate with your phone system. Or maybe you're thinking hardware requirements will restrict your TAPI application. Well, think again. CallWare Technologies has developed TAPIware and TAPIserve -- two products that will change the way you look at TAPI application development and telephone system integration.

CallWare's TAPIware integrates TAPI applications with over 300 telephone systems -- including Lucent, Mitel, Sprint, Tadiran, Nortel, Siemens, and others. TAPIserve is the industry's first and only server to integrate TAPI applications with Computer Supported Telephony Application (CSTA) telephone systems on NetWare. Together, these products integrate TAPI applications with existing telephone systems while eliminating the need for additional hardware at the desktop.

 Why CallWare?

TAPI has become the widely-accepted desktop API for telephony, resulting in an immediate need for telephone systems to integrate with TAPI applications. However, integrating these applications without CallWare products typically involves time and expense.

One by one, TAPI cards must be inserted into every desktop PC and physically connected to a phone. Or, special TAPI-enabled telephone sets must be purchased and installed. Either way, the process is cumbersome and costly. But thanks to CallWare there's a far better way to integrate.

A Better Way to Integrate

Through in-band proprietary, serial, and SMDI integration, CallWare's TAPIware integrates TAPI applications with over 300 telephone systems. And by using TSAPI drivers running on NetWare servers, TAPIserve enables TAPI applications to work with CSTA-compliant telephone systems. Utilizing CallWare products means you're no longer limited to TAPI events supported by low-level TAPI cards. Our integration offers both basic and advanced call control features:

Basic Call Control Features Through TAPIware

  • Make a call (includes outdialing features)
  • Receive/answer a call (includes auto attendant)
  • Send a call to voice mail
Advanced Call Control Features Provided Through TAPIserve
  • Make a call (includes outdialing features)
  • Receive/answer a call (includes auto attendant)
  • Send a call to voice mail
  • Hang-up
  • Call progress reports
  • Conference a call
  • Transfer a call
  • Third-party call control (monitor and control many devices and calls)
Eliminate Hardware and Hard Costs

CallWare's TAPI integration provides a logical connection between applications running on a PC and a telephone extension by translating TAPI commands into CallWare API's. This allows TAPI applications to take advantage of a networked environment and eliminates the need for hardware at every desktop running a TAPI application.

Even better, CallWare solutions are affordable. Hardware for TAPI integration at the desktop can cost $450- $950 per desktop. But with CallWare's software solutions, the only hardware required for basic call control is a voice board at the server. CallWare's TAPIserve allows advanced call control with no additional hardware requirements. So TAPI applications can be integrated with almost any telephone system -- and users won't have to abandon their investments in order to be TAPI compliant.

CallWare's TAPI integrations provide many benefits for developers, switch vendors and TAPI application users:

Tremendous cost savings. There's no need to buy expensive hardware.

No special TAPI peripherals required. Regular telephones may be used.

Greater Computer Telephone Integration (CTI) functionality. Get advanced third-party control.

Network TAPI applications. No major switch modifications or driver changes required. Integrates with existing telephone systems. CallWare leverages the investments companies have already made -- and by doing so, expands the market for TAPI applications.

If you are a telephone system vendor, add CallWare's TAPI solutions to your systems. CallWare offers greater integration capabilities -- and that means greater value for your clients.
